Our founder Jolanta Kozioł has dedicated her life to traveling. In 1985 she was certified as a tour guide in Krakow and tour leader abroad. Renata Guzera

Designation

Specialist in travel, art and archival research. She is familiar with online archives systems and Polish databases at institutions like Jewish Insitute in Warsaw. She combined her both passions for travelling and art while studying in Israel, where she focused on archival research in Yad Vashem Institue. Her main passion is Jewish Heritage in Poland with main focus on personal stories shared by those who visit Poland.

Excellent!! Jolanta was absolutely the best tour guide. I’ve been on many, many tours and hands down Jolanta brings something different and more personal to a tour. She’s is passionate about Krakow and it’s history and this shines through in the tour. I experienced that she provides a more informative tour than I have ever experienced and with charm, smiles and just a lovely approach that was easy and interesting to understand. She sparked in me great curiosity. Jolanta is extremely well organized with all details of the tour and our group did not have to worry about a thing.       Auschwitz-Birkenau and Salt Mines one day tour
A great service provided at a great price. An itinerary was sent to us and it all transfers and tours ran like clockwork, doing Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Salt Mines on the one day had felt like it could have been a bit much but we couldn’t have enjoyed it any more, thanks to the private transfers and the tour guides provided! Once we had arrived Jolanta arranged a meeting time to go over our itinerary and to answer any questions we had, she couldn’t have been more helpful and even helped us book a lovely nearby restaurant for our dinner as we weren’t sure where to go! Would highly recommend Jolanta and European Legacy Tours for any Krakow Tours!!

      Auschwitz
Jolanta is very kind to organize our short tour to Auschwitz Birkenau, she is very efficient and pleasant. She welcomed us in Kraków and with her own car drive us to Auschwitz (1 hour to go) (2hours to go back) she speaks a very fluent English knows many things about holaucaust which make the trip very intéresting one.       Fantastic Tour of Poland
Jolanta is an incredible guide who made our trip to Poland so memorable and special! In October 2019, my father and I spent 8 days in Poland to visit our family's tiny village and explore our family heritage. Jolanta planned an incredible trip that made every moment fascinating and meaningful. Jolanta is very knowledgeable about history and the world, having traveled extensively. She guided us through Warsaw, which was a fascinating city, and also escorted us to locations in Eastern Poland we had never heard of which were central to Jewish history. When we visited the small village our family emigrated from, Jolanta tirelessly worked to put us in touch with the local amateur historian who knew the most about Jewish life there in the early 20th century. She also arranged a meeting with the town's mayor, who greeted us with refreshments and gift bags of local products. If you are traveling to Eastern Europe, I highly recommend Jolanta as your guide.

      Fantastic guide
Jolanta was our guide for a week long Jewish history/Holocaust trip through Poland. She was absolutely fantastic. She thoughtfully organized an amazing, informational and thorough journey, which even interested our teenage daughter. She is very knowledgeable about Poland, its history, people and culture. And, she is so fun to be with. She took us not only to major tourist places, but also to interesting places off the beaten track. For example, she took us to a lesser known art gallery which featured an exhibit by her daughter and introduced us to a friend of hers, who is a progressive rabbi in Krakow, who is working to restore a synagogue destroyed in the war. She arranged for private tours with fantastic guides at Auschwitz and Majdanek, which greatly enhanced our experience at those places. She continually went out of her way to enhance our trip and make it just right. We can’t imagine touring Poland with anyone other than Jolanta.

      The Very BEST
I spent two weeks in Krakow and I contacted Jolanta of European Legacy Tours at the last minute when my plans changed to set up a tour of Krakow and Zalipie. If I could give the time I spent with Jolanta 10 stars, I would!! Being a female traveling solo, meeting Jolanta was like spending time with a good friend. She was so helpful in every matter, large and small, which was very comforting, and she was so personable, I felt very at home in her company. She made my trip so special, using her many local connections to absolutely amaze me! I was in Poland for the Jewish Culture Festival and upon hearing this, Jolanta made immediate arrangements to accompany me through the Jewish quarter of the city, introducing me to restaurant and hotel owners who provided beautiful views from their rooftops and delicious meals which I would never have experienced without her. She even called a local Rabbi to give me a tour of a synagogue that is being refurbished and to familiarize me with Jewish happenings in Krakow. These are the unique types of opportunities that one couldn’t imagine being treated to until you meet Jolanta! Visiting the painted village of Zalipie was just the same - every detail was seen to, from transportation, to morning coffee, to an explanation of local customs which was very handy to a side trip to a synagogue in the area which I didn’t even know existed until Jolanta told me about it. Shopping for lunch in the village market was a little highlight that added to the day. Although my time was limited to Krakow and Zalipie, my understanding is that European Legacy Tours organizes trips all around Eastern Europe. I am already in the process of planning another tour with Jolanta. I went to Poland alone and came back with an invaluable tour guide as a new friend! Thank you for all the precious memories! I can not recommend them highly enough!
