Michal Skowron is a member of the Association of Polish – Jewish Friendship Organization in Staszow. He is a compassionate and knowledgeable tour guide. He is a world traveler, as well as, an expert Scuba diver. Together they lead the E.L. Tours Company.

Jolanta and her team are actively involved in Jewish life in Poland. They worked closely with Chris Schwartz, a founder of Galicia Jewish Museum. Jewish life and culture is slowly rebuilding in Poland.

The E.L. Tour Company has been in operation since 1999. The company has an emphasis on Jewish history and culture through a Polish lens.

Poland was the epicenter of Jewish life before World War II. Many American Jews, as well as Jews from around the world, can trace their ancestry to Poland. Since the early 2000s there has been a Renaissance of Jewish culture in Poland. Many towns have restored synagogues and historical sites.

The E.L. Tours Company has been at the forefront of this resurgence. European Legacy Tours focuses on providing guests with an experience unlike any other. With European Legacy Tours you can trace your ancestry and build your family history by researching extensive birth records, census data, school diaries and other data.

- TRACING YOUR ANCESTRY -

Krakow, Poland has a vibrant Jewish Community Center that has embraced visitors from around the world. Every Friday their Shabbat dinner brings together students, community members, visitors,
and Holocaust survivors for a Shabbat dinner you will never forget.

For some of our Jewish guests, the visit to their former family homes is a way to connect to their roots through an emotional journey through a difficult past, with a much brighter future.

Guests have mixed emotions when returning to the former Jewish communities in Poland. On one hand, visitors may fear the unspeakable horror that haunts you with every step from the atrocities of the Holocaust. On the other,
there is a feeling of happiness—joy as our guests are able to visit the places which they have heard about from relatives and survivors.

European Legacy Tours will arrange all your travel needs from hotels to tours to travel from city to town to the countryside.

Our guides are personable, attentive, knowledgeable experts. They can also become part of your family, providing a personalized experience that will make your trip unforgettable!

If you wish, we can organize a meeting with Holocaust survivors, people whom we have connected to throughout the years and have become close friends.
